All transactions made to your University Credit Union MasterCard during that time period will be at 6.99% rate, until paid in full. Other Cards: Generally, a promotional rate has an expiration date on the balance; it may be 0% but usually applies only through a specific date. Example: through September of 2008. Then, the rate reverts to your regular credit card rate which is charged until you pay off that balance. All Cash Advances – Cash when you need it! There is never a fee to process a cash advance on a University Credit Union card and never a higher rate on a cash advance transaction. A cash advance at any time during the promotion period and the 6.99% rate applies to the transaction UNTIL THAT CASH ADVANCE IS PAID OFF. Other Cards: Usually there is a fee charged to process an advance and generally a higher rate is charged on the transaction. Cash advances are almost never included in special promotions. There’s more…… All Balance Transfers – Check the interest rate on your credit card statement, if it is more than 6.99, PAY IT OFF! No need to go through complicated transfer process. Simply write one of the convenient “LetterChecks” you receive payable to the Card you will be paying off. If you don’t have letter checks just call 800.299.9842 to order. Please allow 7 to 10 days for delivery. OR Just stop into your branch and process a cash advance on your MasterCard. The funds can be deposited into your University Credit Union Checking account and you can write your personal check to pay off your balance. Don’t have a checking account with us? You will be issued a personal check for deposit in your checking account and you can simply write a check and pay off that high rated balance. The charges made to your University Credit Union MasterCard will all be at a 6.99% rate until the transactions charged from November 1, 2007 – March 31, 2008 are paid off. And, there is NO FEE to transfer your balance from another card to University Credit Union MasterCard. Other Cards: Balance transfers can be a complicated process.
